Husky Jerk Baits
I've seen some postings mentioning Husky Jerk baits. I'll be coming up that way at the end of May, first week of June. Is this still a good time to be using these baits for Walleyes? And if so, what size should I be using (purchasing)?
Thanks

The one that's about 5 inches long is a good all around size. Don't overlook the purple pattern on cloudy days. Like I said before all the patterns have worked for me with the exception of the clown pattern(yellow/red). Some other good artificials are: Shad raps, Smithwicks, beetle spins, twister tails, ring worms, floating Rapalas, countdown Rapalas, Cabelas fisherman series cranks, and if you can afford Lucky Craft baits those are also good. It's hard to beat the ole' jig and minnow or leech when you find the fish though.

Baits
Hi Ty,
Another crank to throw into the mix for Walleyes is the new Berkely Frenzy's. They come in two sizes-small and smaller. The yellow and blue patterns work well on the Big Chip. They also are usually cheaper.
Not to confuse anyone, but inline spinners work well too. You can work them fast or slow, tip them with live bait, or smelly artificials. Very versitle and effective.
See you out on the water

Yep, those Berkley Frenzy's are also really good. It's weird how that blue color works well on the Chip. That was the hot color for us over the weekend. On the west side anyway it worked for us. We didn't do well with that color on the east side. Who'd a thunk it......blue?
