Thread: Brown Trout Fishing

  1. Default Brown Trout Fishing

The is deteriorating fast with temps into the 50’s this week it won’t be long and the ice will clear the bay and reveal some outstanding Brown Trout opportunities! Some fish are already being caught on Lake Michigan! The DNR has announced some great-to-hear information regarding a solid increase in bait fish numbers on Lake Michigan. This will ensure a solid Salmon population!! I commend the DNR officials which had the foresight to manage the fishery for tommorrow instead of today! THANKS! So book your 2010 charter soon, and take advantage of what looks like another solid season, the warm weather has many already thinking spring!! Come and celebrate Reel Action’s 15 year anniversary!!!

  2. Default Brown are biting

The Sturgeon Bay launch is open! You can thank Andy Stuth for cutting it open and pulling the chucks out of the inlet... and our team has been out this week chasing walleye and brown trout. Good reports on the lake and canal, but a some tough weather forecast may keep us off the water this weekend. Take a look at this nice brown caught today (3-18-2010)! Send via mobile blackberry... It's early so they'll have time to send in more photos today!! http://www.reelactioncharters.com/photo-log.shtml
    Good Luck

  3. Default Browt Trout Action

The Brown Trout action remains pretty solid with good catches reported an some quality fish.... It's getting tough at times with very clear water, but fishing away from traffic and new shorelines have produced some nice fish... We need some rain... Good Luck.... see recent brown trout photos at:

  4. Default Browns' Keep Biting

We had a few of our Captains out hitting the (softer) water this weekend. Capt Chris caught some pre-spawn walleye on Friday night fishing Sturgeon Bay... Slow-trolling Crankbaits was best. And Capt Merrick put 6 nice Brown Trout in the cooler on Sun morning before the wind picked up... He trolled short diving crankbaits and fish the BIG POND!!! see the photos at: http://www.reelactioncharters.com/photo-log.shtml
