Default Learn how to fillet an Asian carp!

Since illegal netting will most likely continue and thus eliminate any chances for an angler like me to catch a meal of walleyes, I thought I better turn my attention to Asian carp and figure out what I'll need to do in order to catch and clean a mess of these things (not the link at the end on how to fillet one). The thing I like is that I'll have many ways to take a limit....rod and reel.....bow......shotgun.....handgun! Heck, I probably won't need much electronics or any other fancy gear! Maybe this is a good thing! NOT!

Knowing the DNR, they will have a season and limit on the Asain carp.
When Hell freezes over, I'll ice fish that too!

according to an article in the april Great Lakes Angler, the asian carp will not have the propper spawning habitat in the great lakes to take over.

although, he also states, he's in favor of closing the canal. (show's how much faith he has in his hypothisys. )

    still interesting reading

getting ready to re-fit my bow for a lifetime or generations of bowfishing.

    unfortunately...

Red fish at one point was considered garbage until a chef in New Orleans created a recipe that became so popular, it brought the species close to extinction. Hopefully these efforts will do the same to Asian carp.

I had a crazy idea but if they close the locks, couldn't this go hand in hand to make Illinois a foothold for Obama's super rail system? Revitalize the rail industry, then load it up on boats in the lakes. IDK where the heck it goes from there but that's why there's millions spent in administrative fees.
