Don't laugh. Took out my rear casting platform and put in the bowling trophy today. Timmy G. has been getting a few trolling, so we are here.

Even did a whole new lure collection in the boat as well.

I was getting a little worried, with the 70 degree water last week and all that warm. Just hope there is a steady cool down from here on out.
Is Tim letting his girlfriend catch any? She is detemend to beat Carol this year she said

Best news that I heard today. Now if the snow starts within the next 2 weeks both John and I will be happy. Extra handwarmers needed.

    Dick,

If you could have experienced the fishing we had two weeks ago during the hot spell, you would have burned your Mustang suit.

However, what a difference two weeks make. Water temperatures were just about 70 degrees. Now have plummeted to 57. Tried a little trolling yesterday, to no avail. Was way too windy to cast. Stayed close, and to the east. Downside, besides not catching anything, was not much on the screen for bait fish.

Still has a bit to go yet, although Tim got a few small fish trolling yesterday.

At least it has cooled down. I noticed that it is 45 degrees on Oak Island right now. Omaha is 59 degrees and I just got finished mowing grass. Now time for football and a good glass of wine. Did you ever get a fold down seat for the back of the boat when trolling? I might be able to find a suitable one.

It's starting, I've had six fish in the boat the past two days to 46", and missed a few more.

    Darren,

You'll be thrilled to know that your favorite bay is so full of bait fish, the depth finder reads 5 feet.

So, in two weeks they should be jumping in the boat? I forget, which one is Darren's favorite bay?

Darren, are you still postponing your trip till Thanksgiving? You might need to bring an auger by then. I guess, who knows what could happen in the next couple weeks, could get an Indian-gore summer blowing straight out of California. But, I doubt it. Next week it’s going to get hot, although only figuratively, unless we’re talking about the area surrounding the net handle, which will be sweltering.
