Its good to see the air cooling off. Can people share water temps they've been seeing and the general area? Thanks! Petey

The temps on the big lake were about the same 72 to 73. About The same in Walker Bay. Predicted cooler weather this week end.

Air temps in the low 30's last night with winds gusting over 40 mph. Water temps are falling fast. Too windy to get on water to get water temps.

    Default Temps!!!

Mother Nature really turned down the thermostat last week. Water temps on the Big Lake were 51 to 53 degrees. 6 to 7 degrees warmer in Walker Bay.

I fished hard Sat and Sun. I saw the same temps. Not much luck to speak of. Saw many other baots at usual spots, but no fish. Has the big lake turned over? Was anyone having luck? Looking forward to trying again this weekend. - Petey

The cold front did put the fish into a very negative mood. The big lake does not turn over. It is too shallow and wind swept to set up a thermocline. The fish in the Bay have moved to deeper water. Keep on truckin things will improve after all they do have to eat.
