Wow did the summer ever fly by.
Lets start with a bit of a steelhead report. Steelies are out deep out of Erieau. Riggers down 40-60 with copper/orange or blue and silver spoons. I was there on Sat with great results as the mid day bite heated up. We were fishing 70-75 feet of H20. This fishery will soon be done so if you want to battle some chrome it would be best to get there real soon
Walleye fishing out of Colchester is giving up limits to guys running harnesses. There is a lot of algae in the water so you may have to move around to avoid the slime.
Speaking of slime musky fishing on LSC continues to be great with fish starting to feed up for fall. Try running body baits or bucktails, in 12-16 fow. From Pike Creek east to Belle River.
Walleye fishing on LSC is still going strong with good catches being caught off the dumping grounds. Harnesses in chartruese continue to do the damage.
Bass fishing can be spotty at this time as the bass start to move into the shallows but once you do you will be rewarded. Good search baits at this time are cranks, med divers and Rattle traps.
I have some wknd dates now available so book now for some great musky fishing, casting, trolling or jigging.
