    Default Middle Eau Claire

    Tanner,

I am going to be up in the area in the middle of August and wanted to get out and fish Middle Eau Claire. I have fished this lake many times for bass, however, wanted to try for some muskies. Is there any help you can give me on this lake--not looking for any hot spots just some tips and pointers that will help in understanding and fishing this lake for muskies (baits, colors, structure, troll or cast, etc.) Thanks in advance for the help.

    Jesse,
Middle eau claire is a tough lake, but there are some big fish in there. the best bet is to fish the weeds, and the fish cribs. also don't overlook open water trolling out there, the best times to fish it are during low light or after dark hours. I like natural colored baits alot of blue, purple, perch and walleye colors work best. Hope this helps you out.

    Good luck,
