Hows the fishing around the way dam? Anyone find where the crappies are hiding?
We had a group of fishermen here this week that did great on our section of the Menominee River. Northern and Walleye of decent size almost every day. Lots of Smallmouth were caught and released. The smallmouth are off their beds.
Have not heard to much about Way Dam or Crappies but the water is warming up so everything should start getting active.

Heading to res. this weekend any tip on where to find those 10" bluegills or crappies? Whats the depth, color , bait to use? What about the walleyes, has the action went up with the temp.? Any good fish jiging or with minnows?
I did not hear much on the reservoir but the Menominee River Boundary waters was a tough one this week for fishing. We threw everything except the kitchen sink at them and they were not biting. A few nice Largemouth Bass and Northern were taken but the rest were small. Even the panfish were not interested. The water temperature was ranging in the 75 to 82 degree mark. Most fish were holding in 35 feet of water.
It rained today and everything cooled off so we will see if fishin' picks up. Every day on the water is better than any day at work.
