    Smile Walleye -

Hi Murph! Hope all is well. The family is heading up 6/13 - 6/20 and staying at Trader's Bay Lodge. We hired you last year to take my dad and uncle out for a father's day gift - they loved it!!!!

Any pointers for the area? Any tidbits to get the gang's fishing excitement over the top would be REALLY appreciated! The boys (10,7 and 5 years)have been practicing casting in the yard off the picnic table for two weeks... We can hardly wait to hear "ARE WE THERE YET?"

    Default Walleyes

Fishing has still been pretty good in Traders right in front of the resort. Trolling shad raps in low light hours has produced some nice fish. Pine Point, Stony, and Ottertail have also been good areas to catch some fish.

Fish are biting minnows, leeches, and crawlers on live bait rigs. Time of the year to have all baits in the boat and experiment with each till the fish dictate what they want to eat.

Have a great vacation and good luck fishing.
