Since last Fri. temp of 62*, over the last week it has been bouncing down to as low as 53* in some areas. Lake reading tonight is 60.5* after todays all day sun. But with tonights predicted low of 28* & lows in the 40's & highs only in the 60's for the next week, it doesn't look too promising for any sustained rise in water temps. Mostly male pannies tending the spawning areas. The female crappies were on the beds last Sat/Sun, but with the cool down they seem to have gone deeper waiting for it to rewarm. A few bigger 'eyes are finally being reported. Muskies have been spotty. One guest had 1-37" with 7 follows. Hopefully when Jeremy gets here, the night temps will go no lower than 55* to help hold the daytime warmup. Sure is a great time to be up here in the northwoods! And to think that this is what it looked like a month ago after two days of 18" wet heavy snow. It sure helped the lake level tho!! And a HAPPY BOITHDAY to Derek from LVD.
