Question east winds on the chip

Ty, or anyone, what are your thoughts on how wind direction affects fishing on the Chip? Next week reports 8 mph east/northeast winds till Thursday. Does wind speed/direction change your daily approach? or do you just rely on the weather conditions? do northeast winds generally shut down fishing? and if so, how does a Jedi overcome them to "light up the lamp"?

East or northeast winds can be tough just because it signals a cold front. I wouldn't worry to much about it. The weather with change before you get up here. The weather stations have a tough time predicting anything up here with Superior so close.

I didn't really answer your question now did I.

As for the wind direction and where to fish..........I do fish some of the wind blown weedbeds if the wind is blowing good. On the contrary, some of the spots out of the wind can be just as good. Location is more important than wind direction. Just because the wind switches doesn't mean the fish will leave the spot or area it is calling home. Don't overthink the situation.
