The past few days have been some great ones for giant gills, decent crappie and some good walleye action. Water temps on the chain are ranging from 56-66 degrees and the water level is still very high. A big thanks to SJ, Joe and Wes for some fun days on the water. Congrats to my old man for landing this one pound gill pictured below, a rare find now days, and to Leah for landing her first crappie! SJ also spanked the boys with her nice 25 inch eye.
Some of the panfish are starting to invade the shallows while we found many others suspended off the break lines feeding heavy on fly larva and nymphs. For walleye action the bite we took advantage of was the shallow evening bite on the flats and in the current areas.
