Fishing Update 5/10/2009
Fished Mohawksin late afternoon, we worked the gravel bars using #9 floating Rapalas in a perch pattern or silver pattern, about an hour before sunset. Action was good and we boated several legal walleyes up to 18 inches, hooked into some nice sm bass too!. Found the walleyes in 3 to 5 feet of water. We ran our rapalas with a # 7 split shot 15 inches in front of the lure, the purpose of this is to bring the lure down deeper and slow our retreive with the cold front conditions. Seen lots of crappies in the shallows and the warming temps this coming week it should be a good one for the crappies anglers.
Good Luck
Shane
