    Default Opening Days

The walleye bite has been great with all sorts of different action going on. If you are a weed fisherman look to lake that 500 acers or less. Look for new weed growth coontail, elodea, and cabbage will be the best starters. Look for minnows and or leeches to work worked on a 1/16oz jig. Next we have the middle lakes or lakes around a 1000 acers these fish are in transition look for fish on hard bottom areas of shallow sand next to spawing areas. These fish will be looking for minnows danced on a light jig these water temps are right around 50. The last the big deep clear lakes were water temps are still in the mid to upper 40's fish still in spawn mode look shallow for rocks and gravel where ever the wind blows in is a good starting point. Good luck and tight lines and I will keep everybody updated as all these fish transition in the next week or so.
