Here is another one I found. It is a foggy morning in July of 2007.

I'm guessing you are looking at Birch Island, Banana, etc.

Rudy's.....actually the picture is of Pete's bar looking west towards Herman's and the campground. You are on Rudy's.

Popple looking northat Dun Rovin. The fog is actually a huge camp fire!!

How about you are facing northeast with Chipmunk in the middle of the picture and the island northwest of Chipmunk is showing up real dark? Kind of like you are looking toward shearpin from way off?

Are you looking south between Popple and Eagles Nest in Weiner Island buried in all that fog? (or Tait's campfire)

Ty has the idea, because he called me at work. But nobody has actually guessed it on the website.

Ty there is a change of plans for the mn show, we will be there Friday mid afternoon.

now I'm confused. are you a little north of Rudy's looking partly accross Pete's(Millionaires Row/Kindergarten area in heavy fog)? Is it Chipmonk or Skull Island? I don't know the actual name of it.

Is that enough description(or too much) for a place I don't know what to call?

There is an area you are looking at . . . . . and when that name is used it will be solved.

So let me get this straight.....you ARE looking west at the big, open body of water where Pete's is located?

And the boat is NOT sitting on:
Rudy's(my first guess)
Shearpin(Ty's--he said to flip the guess around)
ChipmOnk(my last guess)
Skull(my last guess also)

I can't really list where the boat is without giving it away. So here it is. You were right in that the boat is in the chipmunk/skull island area. I am between the two islands with neither in the photo looking southwest towards the "throughofare". The word throughofare is what I was looking for.

the "throughofare". The word throughofare is what I was looking for.

that's the "rock bar" in the middle of the channel south of Pete's right?

I would consider the rock bar part of the throughofare, with the throughofare being the narrow area as a whole.

I should have spoke up. I recognized that spot except I was thinking you were looking from Pete's. I remember going through there and blowing out a lower unit on one of Treeland's rental boats. It was about a 100 yds past that little cut in the picture. I like the guess the spot bit!
