Wednesdays weather was just what the doctor didn't order for a successful day of walleye fishing, clear sky's, countless wind switches, falling barometer, and a continuing mayfly hatch. Starting out in shallow weedy bays and shorelines, my guests and I found just 1 perch and 1 eye on a Reeves weedless jig tipped with large fatheads. We then spent the rest of the day working all depths and structures with jigs and or slip bobbers and had limited success and that was out of 15 to 17 feet of water over wood, by days end, we had a total of 5 eyes and 4 perch, not one rock bass or pike was boated during the trip, now that is a slow bite when they can't be caught.

Back out today, will keep you posted.
