Thread: New Theme for outdoors911!!

  1. #1

    Default New Theme for outdoors911!!

We decided to change the theme for the forum.

The main function of the forum has not changed only the look and feel has.

We hope to incorporate this theme with various portals so that we can expand our user base.

Please let us know what you think!

What is the new theme? You mispelled "forum" on the Mercer, Wi banner. Some color would be nice.

"We added a new theme to the form". "form" should be "forum".

The blue lettering against the light grey is easier to read than against the white. Its still hard on the eyes. Can you make it POP!?

I agree with several others, the script and ease of reading and seeing with these old eyes is not good. The old was much better.

Really difficult to read and very bland. The white on the soft blue background makes it tough on us old guys to read

Very hard to read and also even to see the boxes to log in! Darken the background and it should be just fine

We know part of the community doesn't like the new theme.

Therefor we added a theme change option down on the bottom right hand side of the forum. You will see a dropdown box with an option for the style.

For those of you who like the old theme you can change back to what it was before by selecting outdoor v 1.0.

We thank you for your feedback, we have implemented slightly darker links and changed a couple colors around so that it is a little better to read.

We will continue to modify the theme until we nail down the proper look for us.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and again thank you for your co-operation.

Larger Print would be nice, and more contrast. Its ok but just a comment.

Glad you provided the option of sticking with the old version. I hated the new look and haven't been visiting the site because of it.

The type size and light color makes it very difficult for us old fogeys to read!

I tried posting photos to Tony Grant's board. Doing so takes nearly a dozen steps. There are message boards out there with much quicker photo posting programs that still load from the computer (and not a website). Get one. m

I prefer the old style as well. Haven't been able to visit for a couple months because this new one won't work on my phone. I'll change it back, thanks for that option.

Of all the forums I visit or post on, this is by far the most user unfriendly.

As a GLSF member, and formerly a regular poster, I am ready to give up on this new site. When I went to type in my report, the site went to parts unknown, I never did find our forum again.

How about moving the post new thread to the top of the page, so you don't have to scroll through 50 messages to get there ?

    Dear Admin:

Something seems to be wrong in the forum!!! Lots of double posts, warnings and I get kicked out every time I post and have to go back in through the fishing repost portal. I seem to notice mostly in the WI forums as that is where I post 99% of the time... I talked with Ty Sennett and work for Rob Manthie.

My biggest disappointment in this is that I believe you have one of the top two websites of the general fishing websites. I hate to watch the site deteriorate with poor performance... Please help us to keep a valuable site around!!! YOU are the answer!!! Thank you in advance!!!

Congrats, you may have solved the issue with the kick back or out from the sumission of a post.

Getting better... Not completely kicked out, but sometimes getting in and others not... So my only option is to go back in from main menu at the top, rather than staying in the thread and being able to finish eading, etc.
