May 18 Fishing Report For Port Washington Wisconsin
In the last few days, fishing has been improving. The Coho salmon have shown up in larger numbers, and there is also a little king action. Today we had a great catch with both boats in double digits, and steady action the whole day. Coho are being taken on surface boards with orange dodgers and peanut flies. A few larger coho flies worked on dipsey divers as well. The surface temp is 48 degrees, and that is holding many fish within the top 8 ft. Kings were biting down deeper, 10-20 pt off the bottom depending on depth of water. We were running an East/West troll, anywhere from 25-80 fow. No depth was better in particular. Spoons had a little action as well, but only on down riggers. Check out my website for charter fishing information, or to see recent photos! www.chinookexpresscharters.com
