Lake Delavan, Lake Geneva and Southern WI Areas
7/29/17 Lake Monona, AM, partly sunny, 75 degrees, light wind, water temp 75 degrees. Caught 3 smallmouth bass and 4 largemouth bass, 2 walleyes, over forty bluegills, in 3 to 18 ft of water using rocket bobber and small aberdeen hook with wax or leaf worm and drop shot rigged crawlers and leeches.
8/1/17 Lake Mendota A.M , partly sunny 75 degrees, SW winds at 5-10 mph, water temp 75 degrees. Caught 3 small largemouth bass, and three walleye, and a few perch& white bass. We fished weed lines around a lot of main lake points in 12-15 ft of water. We used bottom bounces and Tommy Harris spinners to locate rigged half night crawlers for the walleye. Drop shot for the bass.
8/4/17 Lake Delavan, AM, Cloudy, light rain, 65 degrees, SE winds, Caught 9 largemouth bass, 3 walleye, and a over twenty five bluegills.
8/5/17 Lake Delavan , sunny 80 degrees, light winds, fishing was best in area along weed edges with rock, along steep drop offs, used drop shot rigged night crawlers and leeches Caught a mixed bag of 2 walleye, 5 large mouth, 2 small mouth, and kept fifteen of thirty bluegills for a fish fry.
