Weekend Fishing

Scott and I went musky hunting on Saturday as he is still trying to boat his first. (Back in April, we almost had one in the bag but the fish rolled and must have caught a tooth and cut his brand new 80# braid.) He hooks another nice fish at 9:02, I have the net ready as the fish begins gator-rolling on the surface............wait for it.............the fish comes off. We raised another good fish at around 11:45 but I could not force feed her. Then at 2:50, I hook into a really nice fish but after the initial head-shaking run, she pulled free and that was it for the day. For those keeping score......Muskies 2, my boat 0.

Took Father's Day off and did yard work, cooked some steaks and waited for our intermittent power losses to return most of the afternoon/evening.....really wanted to watch the US Open but electricity is needed for that.

havent chased in over a week the river down here is just blown out from all the rain..Def trying to be back on the Hunt this weekend though
