Was in Eagle River from June 4-11 for a family vacation.
Stayed at Wild Eagle Lodge on Duck Lake on the Eagle River Chain. Fished the ER Chain and numerous area lakes.
Water temps were declining when we arrived and dipped down even further with the record cold that moved into the area on Sun the 7th.
The cold weather made bass fishing tougher but the walleye and muskie bite remained fairly consistent.
Water temps were around 58-63 degrees on the darker/shallower lakes and at 58-59 degrees on the clearer lakes.
Ended the week with around 20 bass (Biggest at 16"), 30 walleyes (19" the biggest) and 3 muskies (& lost 3). (42" the biggest).
Walleyes were mostly in 4-8 feet of water and were hitting minnows and leeches.
Bass were scattered shallow and deep. (Husky jerks worked well )
Muskies were also shallow in 6' of water or less.
If you're heading up any time soon the bass fishing should be picking up real good!
