Monday's action was very good despite the continuing east winds along with cool temps and on and off rain showers. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fathead minnows or Gulp Alive (Crazy Legs), my client and I found several active eyes in 8 feet of water over a newly discovered hump that I had just found, never fished this spot before nor have I ever seen anyone else on it. For whatever reason, east winds and all, the eyes were on it and were of good size and on a very good bite. We cleaned house on this spot in no time and then we worked some shoreline structure and found some active smallies along with 1 small eye. Called it a day at 1:30, both of us were wet despite wearing rainsuits.

Back out on Wednesday, will keep you posted.
