    Default Update June 4th

Wet and windy today but mild with a high of 68f. The fishing was good in the morning and picked up again late afternoon. Guys are finding fish shallower everyday, by the end of today guys were picking up multi species on the shorelines and shallow mudflats with a number of different presentaions from small cranks to a simple jig and white grub.

We are also still catching good numbers of Walleyes in the morning, fishing the 20 to 25 ft mudflats have produced many low 20 inch fish along with some perch and the odd big Pike on the jigs. Minnows have outfished most everything this spring, although the Gulp minnows are working well they are not producing near as many fish as the real thing.

As temps rise in the Bay we will see more fish being taken on Leeches and Crawlers. Water temps vary from mid to upper 50's in Witch to low 50's in other areas. We have another cold front moving through tonight bringing with it 20 knot winds from the NW and a predicted high temp of 46f for tomorrow.

Here are some highlighs of the past days action, enjoy.

As predicted we woke up to 38 degrees and the wind was howling from the NW and just to make it really misserable there was a steady drizzle. Things have improved since this morning, the winds have diminished slightly and it has stopped raining.

We had a couple of brave souls head out first thing but most chose to stay warm, I am sure all will be out hitting it hard this afternoon. As much as I want to refer to the longrange forecast, bin there so lets just watch and see what happens, regardless of the weather most are still getting out, catching fish, enjoying the scenery and just having a good time on the water.
