Default Good Walleye fishing spots on the East side of Leech?

We are heading up to Leech Lake on Wednesday this week (6/3) and are staying at the Chippewa Lodge on the southeast side of the lake. This is our first trip to Leech. I've read several posts of good locations to fish but most seem to be on the west side. Any suggestions on good locations on the east side or are we better off making the trip across the lake?

    Thanks,

    Tim

    Default East Side

There are a lot of areas that hold fish in that part of the lake. I do not fish there much myself due to my cabin location. You can try many of the reefs in the Pelican Island area. Huddles for example is a very good spot. Sugar Point and that shore line is also good. 5 Mile area is another.

You best bet is to ask your resort owner. He knows where the fish are.

try chippewa reef its right out in front of the white cabin at the resort, try the narrows by bear we did good there in may. or stoney point, the clay banks on the southwest side of bear.
