Default Bone Lake or Deer Lake (Polk County, WI)???

Wondering if anyone has any info on either Deer Lake or Bone Lake (near Balsam Lake, WI)??? I'm from the Twin Cities and I hear a lot of talk on how good these lakes are for muskies and I'm just looking for some tips. Any help would be great!

    Thanks

    Joe,
Deer and Bone both are great muskie lakes, both have a high number of muskies in them with a shot at a real nice one. on both lakes stick to the deep weed edge with twitchbaits and bucktails this time of the year. both the lakes get some rec. traffic on the weekends, so if you can fish them during the week.

    Good luck,

    Default Deer Lake

    Joe,

I've been fishing Deer Lake for 30 years. I have the privelage of utilizing my dads lake home at any time of the year, therefore my experience with the fish in Deer is superior. My wife and I spend almost every weekend up there. Very few times have I gone out and gotten skunked. Normally, you'll at least see a few follows boatside. Its a great fishery and hope your experience on Deer is as good as mine have been.

    Matt
