    Default Fishing Update 5-26-9

It's finally starting to look like a lake out there. The water is coming down really good after being flooded.

The water level is 2 feet over summer pool right and falling 6" a day. The water clarity is clear for the most part some murkey water in coves where the waves over the weekend have splashed water up to the bank but nothing major. Scotts, Alfrey, Warix are usable have not been to claylick.

Fish are moving in the morning hours on spinnerbaits in the bushes, and out over the weeds. Later in the day EXO's, Bull Dawgs seem to work the best off the edges. Trolling is still working pretty strong on the outside edges and some spots over the top. With the water coming down a lot of the weeds you could troll over now you can hit.

The water temp is 69-72 depending on where you are. Coves seem to be a little cooler than the main lake. Of course the flats are really going fish are being caught everywhere out there.

Good luck not much of a report but maybe it can get you started. By the way we have had a lot of fish follow in late on EXO's make sure when you fish the outside edges you figure 8 2 or 3 times.

How are things right now? Water clarity and temps? Considering making the drive over in the morning (Friday).

    Thanks!

Things in the last week have been pretty good. I really need to post something on here but I have not had a minute to do anything.

The lake is still up about 2 feet right now and coming down good. Fish seem to be all over the weed edges from the flats to just about any cove that has weeds.

The water clarity is good being clear in just about every spot. It's almost to clear need a little bit of rain or something to dirty it up a little. The water temp is ranging from 72-75.

The fish have been going on EXO's, Bull Dawgs, and Stalkers. In the last few days have seen some really big fish hooking up with some to 40".

The next 10 will be the best we have had in the last week. Fishing will really get better and better for a few days.

Have wore the blades off Cowgirls but have not any action yet on them. Maybe today will be the day. They should be all over them by now. Also don't rule out a early morning buzz bait right now just before daylight and just after first light.

Usually this time of year the fish really move in the evernings. So don't think you have to be here for the morning bite all time. The everning are going to be good too.

Thanks for the great updates Justin.

I came over and fished all day yesterday, but didn't have any follows or hookups. I mostly threw bulldawgs at the outside weed edges and eventually tried everything else in the toolbox. Only saw one fish caught all day and that was a low 30's fish in the deep back of a bay near Warix.

Wind was no fun and the cold front seemed to lock jaw them. Still nice to be on the water.
