Water temps went from 58* yesterday to 62* as of 10PM tonight. The crappies have been feeding deeper for the last week, but as of today, they took a liking to the warming temps and ventured toward their spawning grounds. Caught a 20" & 23" Tiger Musky while 'eye fishing this evening. Water level is holding for now, but could still use 4" to bring it to the "wild rice" level. Perch quality & quantity is the best I've seen in 3 years. Leeches are starting to become the preferred bait with minnows still producing good catch rates.
Please be sure to clean your boat and trailer as the invasive- Eurasian Milfoil was discovered last summer in Thunder Bay. The lake assoc. is working with a lake management co. & other agencies to hopefully contain & eradicate it.
Have a safe and Fishieful Holiday!!
