walleyes are still near spawning areas but starting to show up in backs of bays where water is warming up and drawing bait fish in.mostly jigs and some spinner rigs with minnows. scattered here and there rather than schools,keep pitch'n and moving or trolling ,with warmer sunny weather they will start to bunch up more, alot of slot fish.
bass have been very good though not in any numbers in prespawn areas mostly still on reefs 15-18'. jigs and rigs and big minnows but will be moving off shortly and moving in,a few doing so already.
trout are excellent, tom and danny had 43 yesterday mostly 20-27" fish with a couple 12-15# pike,fritz and the boys went out for an hr by strawberry and caught a 16#er and 36" 13# pike.
slow troll 1.0-1.5mph 20-30' of water 10-15' down. spinner rigs #5 blades and sucker strips or minnows,spoons,minnowbaits

The early season trout have not just been excellent, they have been absurd! Honest to god, 43 in one day for two guys in a boat is something I would not believe if I had not done it.

we've had a couple nice days now though still mid 30's at nite but going to 60-70 mid day,shallows warming up a bit,minnows showing up in warming protected areas and drawing fish in shallower.
everyone had a mixed bag of quality fish.
fritz and the boys had some nice walleyes in the slot and over,pike,and some bass to 5#.
tom and mike went to buzzard and caught a bunch of nice lakers and slot walleyes on eagle ,big pike were not in the shallow bays like they should be,must need some warmer weather to come back in after spawning
danny and the boys had trout to 13#,walleyes to 25",some nice bass,and a 47" muskie that was water released.
one thing was noticed bt all,walleyes at least bigger slot and over fish were upon checking, showing up on reg late may early june spots like backs of bays,humps in bays,and shallower shoreling connected rocky shoals not just spawning areas and bass though not up tight in bedding areas were shallower and with the walleyes in rock,rock rubble,and rock.new weed growth areas near spawning bays.
