Mid May Fishing 5/17/2009
What an excellent fishing weekend. Even with 40+ mph winds we filled out most of the boats with limits. Our service is doing most of our fishing on Lake Sharpe in the West Bend and Grain Bens area. There were also limits brought in south of the dam.
Fishing has also been fair to excellent at Carpenter Bluffs and White River. 1 boat staying at the Hillside done real well in this area Sat and Sun.
We are fishing with spinners and a crawler or a minnow. Most of the fish have been caught in 10 - 20 feet of water. Some days you have to catch alot of fish to get your keepers, but that is half of the fun.
It is good to be back in South Dakota. Vegas is great, but there is nothing better than catching walleyes in South Dakota.
