Default Check out this smile...1st shot, 1st kill

Anyone that has tried bow fishing will tell you it takes a while to get the hang of shooting low enough to hit a fish. The first dozen or so arrows will most likely sail over the top of a fish's back until you program yourself to shoot incredibly low. Well, that wasn't the case for Dana. A couple years ago Dana bought her soon to be husband a bow fishing trip with us for Christmas. Her husband has been out with us now over a dozen times and she wanted to see what all the excitement was about. She took a few practice shots before dark and was pretty excited for the lights to come on. The guys were talking smack as usual expecting to show the two ladies how it’s done but were quickly speechless. Within 1 minute of hitting the shore line we were into big fish hoping to seek refuge in the warm sandy shoreline. Dana drew back for the first time, while taking careful aim and let the arrow fly. We were all pretty surprised to see that arrow dance on the top of the water with this nice carp putting up a fight she won’t soon forget. The guys didn't have much to say after that, especially since they shot over 2 dozen times their first night before scoring. She’s not only a natural shooter but was instantly hooked and we're looking forward to seeing her again soon.
