I've spent the winter chasing Dolphin, Wahoo and Sailfish in the Florida Keys. It was a great winter season with lots of action. Now it's time to get the "After U II" out of storage and see what the Salmon are doing on Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, the reports that I've been getting are that the fish just aren't here. Normally May is one of Illinois most productive months. This year--nothing.

It seems the water has been cooler than normal which has kept the fish from migrating in their normal clockwise direction around the lake. When will they move? Who knows but I'll keep you posted with current fishing reports.

I should be on the water as soon as the boat bottom is painted and the hull buffed. We put her away in great shape last Fall so it should be ready to fish in the next week or so. Keep checking my posts for the latest action on the big lake.

See ya on the water
