Captain Randy fished for just a few hours during the middle of the day in our 36 Commander (Catch-n-Relief) this weekend and had some good action. With strong West winds he held tight to shore and didn’t run to the bank but he still caught some nice fish. (see photos at www.reelactioncharters.com). Randy leaves to fish a King Salmon tournament this weekend and the report is excellent for limit catches of Kings and Coho. In fact many boats are reporting not only limit catches of 20 plus fish but very big fish for May (both Kings and Coho appear to be significantly heavier this spring). Numerous King Salmon have been caught from 18 to 20 pounds. I’m confident that we well see some outstanding fishing again this summer with bigger fish thanks to the WI DNR’s efforts to keep the population of alewives and King Salmon in check.
