Ahhh man that is really neat you guys..
Thanks for taking the time to do
that...
Yes, it's always a thrill in the spring time to go shine the rivers and see the fish coming up. On this night it was mostly big females, which usually means it's the beginning of the run. Unfortunately the camera can't see the hundreds and hundreds of fish in the river that we can see. From talking to others, it sounds like all the major rivers are experiencing a pretty good walleye run this year. Now we just have to figure out how to catch them!!!

Kevin and Ken. Nice to see video of walleyes like that. "Good Job".
Hey guys nice job!!! It is nice to see fish like that. What river was that?? I might be interested in doing some shining myself this weekend.
Always better than a good day at work!!
very cool and the light didnt scare them at all. BP
Great footage, thanks for sharing.
Does it seem like the run is a little late or right on track this year ?
The run was right on track this year. You can pretty much figure the rivers will be full of walleye right around April 13th. We have noticed that it doesn't really seem to matter what kind of spring weather we have either. Like this year with the cold spring we thought maybe they would run later. But it didn't happen. So we are thinking it might be length of daylight that triggers the upstream movement regardless of the temperatures.

Thanks for sharing Kevin. Also i would'nt disclose the location, no need for extra stress on these fish.
Awesome! thanks for sharing that with us!
Couldnt agree more with 620 ,the last thing the spawners need is to be disturbed by too many people,
