    Default top 5 lures

I will be fishing the Chippewa Flowage area in mid June. If you guys could only bring 5 lures, which ones would you take?
    1. Pacemaker Black
    2. 8" Golden Shiner Slammer
    3. Green/Black Rabid Squirrel
    4. 10" Weighted Suick-Orange/black dots
    5. 9" Heli-Dawg Perch

This will be the 2nd time fishing the Chip. Am I on the right track or what would you suggest?

    Thank you!

I would throw in some Ghost Tails, make sure you throw some double 8's or 10's and maybe a Creeper of some kind.

    Creeptonite (org)
    Smity bait jerk bait (chart)
Rabid Squirrel tail dbl 8 w/green blade
    Suick g7 color
    Lee's chopper (blk)

Of course if I don't have to limit it I'll also throw Pacemaker, Topper Stopper, LeLure Creeper, dbl cowgirl w/green blade, and probably a flaptail or two.

    1. Gosttail
    2. Pacemaker
    3. Suick
    4. Big Game
    5. Slammer Crank

I actually caught more on Stillwaters than Suicks, Slammers, and Big Games combines last year so I should have put that down. I already had one topwater though.

I checked my records for the last few years and I can narrow it down to 3 lures for "mid-June". I would use the lures I have listed from opening weekend through the end of June/4th of July time period, then would change the list.

    1.) Small black Sennett Pacemaker
2.) Joe's Bucktail - red squirrel with green blade
3.) Black Perch 206 Crane Bait

    Hey Ty,

Which ghost tail do you prefer, the original 8" or the 11" mag?

At that time of year I like the baby ones or the original 8" ones.

As far as the pacemaker goes, which is the best color or the one I should have in my box.

Black with a green tail and a split in the body. Ty and Rachel will trade you a new one for one of these ... cuz they KNOW!

I take it the 11" ones rule the summer and fall?

The small walleye one has been good in the spring but this year the other colors were better. The orange one was good for a while and lately plain old black has been good.

The larger one is better late in the season like Yake said.
