Hit the lake today with my boys, John and Matt (Spring Break week!) and Dave Brunner and we a fun day on the water! Johnny hooked and lost a real dandy on a Hellhound this morning that was easily over forty-five inches and very heavy. The fish came off within six feet from my boat and we got a great look at her as she violently shook her head during the whole battle. She threw the lure, and you could see the jerk bait swinging back in forth in front of her indicating she was hooked right in the snoot. Disappointing for sure, but John is still excited about the close encounter with his biggest musky he's ever had hooked! Matt had a high 20's musky hit his Rattle Trap right next to the boat later in the day, and it got off right at the boat too. Water temps were ranging from 48.7 to 54.6, and clarity was pretty good in the south pool through the 73 bridge. Things are starting to pick up!

PS: Thanks again Dave, for allowing my boys to fish with you throughout the day!
