Fishing at Muskie Bay Resort
Well another successful LOTW trip is in the books. Brian and I stayed at http://www.muskiebayresort.com/index.html just outside of Nestor Falls, Ontario for his second and my third March Ice Fishing trip. We dealt with plenty of issues from mechanical to beverage difficulties however we did not let this stop us from putting up HUGE numbers each day... queue Clint or Jim to reply to all with smart "Blue Screen" remark!
Attached are some great pics detailing the below highlights of 3 days of fishing!
Day 1 - Fished Miles Bay 40 slabbers, several walleyes, jumbo perch and a pike.
Day 2 - Took B's Truck to a channel south of Hay Island. We used the auger to make sure we had enough ice! 80+ jumbo perch and 2 30in+ Pike.
Day 3 - Started at Miles however moved mid day to an open water reef! 50 walleye including a couple of 19s and a 23in and several hog jaw jumbo perch!!! They were hitting on tip-ups rigged for Pike!
It was a blast.
