    Default Fishing 3/28

My partner and I are planning on chasing some trout tomorrow. I have decided to leave the muskies alone until my guide season starts up next weekend.

It appears we will have some pretty good fishing weather this weekend.

    Good luck.

We hit a small rainbow (13-14 inches) in 3 hours of fishing.

Water temps are 39 North of Warren and still very stained but clearing up slowly.

    Hi Red,
I fished in the same general place you always see me, the same day you caught your trout. I was out the same time day as you, know this because I followed your boat up route 59. I was trying my luck at finding the big girl we've been chasing for years near my house and to my extreme suprise, I think I found her. Got one very lazy follow in the hours I spent on the water until dark. No boated fish, but the trout are surfacing like crazy. Going out with the trout rig soon.

I assume you are talking about the same fish (or one of equal size) we spoke about last year?? If so, it is a real pig.

Regarding the trout, I think there was a hatch of some sort that evening because we were picking them out of our teeth when we got back to the launch.

Did you guys decide to get the rig from Wiegel's yet??

Yep, I think it was the same, or like you said, close to the same size, as the one we talked about last year. She was being very lazy though, so there was only a few seconds to get a look at her. We did look at the boat there and decided to get it. New 18' with a 90 horse Evinrude jet. Should be here within a month or so. Thanks alot for the advice

You made a great move staying away from that 4-stroke "tank" and going with the E-Tec. Unfortunately for me, I had to learn the hard way. Make sure to remind your dad to get those bunk slicks too........

Stay away from 'my' fish or else.
