    Default Walleye's Start To Bite

Well we put boat in water on Saturday 3-21, headed out to 11 feet of water south of Turtle Reef and banged 7 very nice walleye's. The largest fish was 26 inches all other eyes were in the 23" range. Our largest eye was a female full of eggs and we released her. Also fished Sunday close to Crane Creek using hair jigs, John Deere green was our best color tipped with lake shiners, we limited out with 12 eyes in about 2 hours, nothing super hot yet with water temperatures in the 40 degree range fish were sluggish. Reports from the Maumee River were very good, limits were frequent in the 2 hour range.
