Wileys can troll up to 10mph. I think the small Tuff Shads can also.

Sorry Joe, I should have been more specific with my question.

I meant to ask about deep diving cranks up to 10mph. I do wonder if the 10" tuffs will blow out at 10mph??

    Thanks for the reply.

Red, Did you run a plow at 10mph?? I ran them up to 5 mph. I can just imagine how much thump you would get at 10. I would think the Hi Fin tropy divers can run close to 10mph.

I have had the plows to 8mph (while just fooling around one day) but had to slow down to prevent my teeth from chipping as it vibrated the entire boat!

I have a few Hi-Fin's but I feel more comfortable with lexan lips in the clear river water.

    No.....I just heard the story.

I've only played around with depth not "super speeds". I know you can hit bottom in 47 feet with one, I was surprised it didn't take all that much line either.

    Red,
Fishing with Marc Thorpe, we used 'Les Chubbies" alot so I decided to pick up a few. I actually bought then from Lee Snyder last spring. They tracked perfect but I didn't try any faster than 7mph. They are a relatively shallow diving lure.....I would guess that 6ft is about the deepest they will go without adding any type of weight.

Partycrashers will troll at that speed (I think). Partycrashers are 8" versions of the old Hellbender or Waterdog lures. They will go very deep. There's also the Hi-Fin Trophy Divers with the "Niagara lip." They may stay stabile at that speed.

    Jackson Lures sells Partycrashers.

Default Hi-Fin Magnum Trophy Diver Jtd 9"

The Hi-Fin Magnum Trophy Diver Jtd 9' with the Big Niagara Lip can get up to 10 mph speed, but the 90 degree in the lip bend must be perfectly straight and the lure must trac straight before you run the line out. That is 10 mph in water without current, you can't go 10 mph over bottom going up stream again'st 3.0 mph current.
