    Default Weed Growth in May

    Hey Tanner...

We will be Walleye fishing in the early part of May on a local lake. We were thinking about running over to the Chip one afternoon to do some Pike fishing. Wondering if the weeds are usually starting to grow pretty decently by then on a "normal" year in some of the areas that would normally have weeds, like Crane Lake, etc.

    Thanks...

yeah there are weeds growing pretty good in may, especially in the bays like in Crane Lake, the weeds will be about a foot or two high, thick enough to hole fish but deep enough to get baits over the weeds no problem. hope this helps you out.

    Good luck,
