Winddrift weekend report

Fished Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning off of Winddrift resort on Desert in 8 to 10 FOW with a group. Totaled 17 northers and a few perch. Lost a bunch too due to inexperience since we had a bunch of newbies. The northerns bite was decent and pretty much consistent. The biggest northern was just over 24 inches. All perch were decent eater size. Used tip-ups baited with medium shiners and suckers. Also used rattling flyers, jigging raps, buckshot spoons and swedish pimples. The most productive jig was the rattling flyers in perch color baited with a large minnow.

I guess all the Walleyes were at the superbowl party somewhere else. We didn't see a single "eye" all trip. Oh, well We'll get'em next year.

The one photo is from yesterday. Wish the 'eyes would have bit for you like this. From the approx. same area you were in last week. Temps were the biggest factor.
