Bob's trout was estimated at 18-20 lbs. it was 38 inches.

We are looking forward to the Thorne Bros. outing coming up this next weekend. The ice conditions are on Crow Lake is a good 18-19 inches and no slush on Crow Lake. We have had to down size our lures, instead of 4-5 inch tubes we are using 3 inch tubes. Also a simple pink jig head with a 2 inch twister tail. We have been seeing fish down low, most fish we are catching are only 5-10 feet below the ice, in 35-55 feet of water. Seems like most of the water has drained back below the ice, so there is very little slush. I still suggest bringing sled, but a few have brought 4-wheelers with chains, they did get stuck a few times, but were able to get around. But to get back to some of those lakes that you can only fly to in the summer, you will need sleds.

See you soon
