    Default ice fishing for crappies

any tips on ice fishing for crappie in February? Good/bad time to go? best rigs/bait? Any tips? Looking at going to Cedar or Fisher lake.

The ice on Fisher lake is about 18" thick with about 2 feet of packed snow on top of that. Havent had much luck with crappie but have caught alot of bluegills and perch. The perch have been in about 8-10 feet of water on the edge of weed beds. They have been favoring wax worms over minnows. Have found the bluegill a little deeper congragated around old cribs and drowned wood. Havent had much luck with tipups other than a few northern. The fronts have been many this winter pretty much disrupting the fishing. Looking forward to a little more stable weather.
