Default Planning any Big Trips in 2009???

I was planning on a trip to some new waters in 2009 with some friends and my brother..but they are quickly vanishing due to kids, wifes, ex-wives, etc....

How about any of you??? Any big trips planned yet for 2009? Going anywhere new in search of Monster Muskies??? I was hoping to get up to Canada this year, but don't think that is going to happen...oh well...there is always 2010 right?!?!?!?!

    Default Chippewa Flowage

I am heading up to the Chippewa Flowage this year for the first time. Hope to put a few in the boat. If anyone out there has any advice to be shy I can use all the help I can get.

I am taking the family up to Lake Vermilion in July for a week. I have never fished Lake Vermilion. We are staying at Vermilion Dam Lodge. Any tips, musky guide suggestions(for me, not my whole family), etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Because I am taking my wife, 8yr old son, 4 yr son, and 1 yr old daughter I rented a pontoon boat for the week. I have never musky fished out of a pontoon before.

    Mike,

I am interested in booking a 1/2 day spring trip to get my 8 yr old excited about musky fishing. Please let me know when you are available.

    Thanks

    Rick

    Default couple of trip

As of now in April we're hitting Cave Run. We went down there last year boated one but there was high water and bite was slow. July going to Pekin, Illinois to shoot the Asian carp with a bow. And last but not least going to Vilas county, Wisconsin (North by the u.p.) in September. I'm doing that with a wife and two kids. THEY'RE NOT GOING But a cool wife that doesn't mind for me to get out of town.

Hold the phone....a canadian trip might be back in the works....

I haven't been to Canada in a few years and would really like to get back there. Not really because the fishing, but pretty much for a change of scenery and fishing new waters.

Really??? So when you go to Herbie's do you hide under the truck, stuff yourself in a duffle bag, wear a Hulbert mask, or what??? When it comes to ugly, I know you are usually grand champion....

Going to either LOTW or Eagle. Been going to LOTW for the past 7 years and love it...but thinking of trying out Eagle either this year or next.

I have two days booked with Mike for this summer. Really looking forward to fishing with mike again. Had a hell of a time last summer. Looking at another trip up to the big pond or maybe Vermilion as well.
