The Butternut/Schnurs Lake Association held an ice fishing tournament Saturday. Weather conditions were good. Anglers caught walleyes during the low light periods. perch action was spotty throughout the day. A 36" pike was caught and also some crappies. Most perch were caught jigging 1/32oz jigs tipped with minnows in various depths. Walleyes were taken on tipups using shinners in 6-15 feet of water. Blue gill fishing continues to improve in the area lakes. I will be heading to lake superior to bob for lake trout this weekend and will report when I return. Good luck Fishing.
