Dates available on the ice
The lakes are safe for even the heaviest vehicles now. The only areas of caution are near creek mouths and any spot with moving water or river influence. Ice is over 24 inches on some lakes with little slush found anywhere. Be cautious of pressure ridges and cracks that could cause damage at high speed when traveling.
Walleyes are hitting in deep grass, and rocks. Weed edges are not as good lately. Shiners and sucker minnows are both producing.
Northern pike are using more weeds. Golden shiners and dead bait are best.
