    Default Fishing Report

Butternut lake ice conditions are improving. Only small areas of slush remain and ice depths are from12-16" of ice. Vehicle traffic is increasing and many shacks are out. Good low light walleye fishing the last few days has produced fish up to 22". Crappies are being caught in 15ft on the basins with some fish approaching 13". Perch fishing has been consistant with fish in the 9-10" range. Jig for perch and crappies using waxies and small minnows.
    Good luck fishing!

thanks for the info joe... just wondering if any fish are being caught in the cribs since there's so much pressure on them in the summer.
