Went out on Saturday and there sure was a pile of folks out there. I've heard of people complaining about people pulling up and drilling within a jigging rods distance from them etc. There is plenty of space that other folks don't fish that have fish out there too. I started off kind of by the shelter house near Park & West Washington and moved out by myself between there and the beach - no body else within 100 yards or so. I was rewarded with a nice bunch of crappies (kept 15) and only fished for about 1 hour or so. I guess the point of my post is to encourage folks looking for the hot bite or bigger fish not to be afraid to move away from the crowd a bit - you may be surprised. At any rate, ice was 5 1/2 inches thick and crappies ranged in size from 9" to 11 1/2". Good luck and happy fishing to all.
