Default nut buster and llungen 'tails

    Chad-

What colors do you like in the mag nutbuster? I'm going to get a few. Also, are there times when you prefer the regular nut buster to the mag nut buster? I also hear you guys say you like the DC-9. Is there a particular reason you like the DC-9 better than a double 1O bucktail?

Finally, I was hoping to book a trip with you in March. Do you have a lot of dates open yet, or do I need to pick day and jump on it?

    Thanks.

    Hey Kyle,

I prefer the bigger Mag Nutbuster just because of the huge thump that thing puts out. I use the regular Nutbuster more in the early spring right after the spawn, and then switch to the big one the rest of the year. They are great around the weeds and in the deep timber. Colorwise I like the Black/Char, White/Char, Shad/Nickel, and Black/Gold. I have also been throwing a Mag Nutbuster with a large willow blade on it as well.

The greatest part about Nutbusters is that the hook is not molded on to the shaft of the bait. We use super strong heat shrink to secure the hook, and that way if you need to cut the hook or if the hook gets damaged/dulled, you can cut if off and replace it! I have never seen another spinnerbait made that way.

I have found the DC-9 to outproduce the 10 blades on Kinkaid, and to be honest with you, I am glad. After throwing 10 blades all summer in Minnesota, my wrist can't take it much longer than that!

As for March dates, I am starting to get quite a few trips booked already. Here is what I have left.

    March 5,6,9,10,16-21,23,24,27,30,31

I will be fully booked for the month after the Chicago Muskie Show so let me know soon if you have a date in mind. If I don't have a date you need, Scott Donovan and Josh Ebersole will also be taking trips as well.

Default will you have tackle at show?

    Chad,
Will Lungen Lures have a display set up at the Chicago Musky show? I'd like to pick up a few of the nut-busters as well the DC-9's? If so maybe you can set aside a Kinkaid special goody bag with all the colors you recomend!!!

We will have lots of goodies at the show. We had Mike Hulbert, Gregg Thomas, Steve Jonesi, Dennis Radloff, and myself pick out their favorite color patterns and we will have DC-9's, DC-10's, and Mag Nutbusters in those colors, as well as our new triple skirted magnum #9 Fluted Indiana.

Then for the Krusher and our new Krisco crankbait, we did the same as well with all the guys picking out their favorite crankbait pattern. They look sweet!!

    See ya at the show.

P.S. Wait until you see my color pattern on the crankbaits! WOW.

Ok I'm leaving the plastic in Carbondale lol! It will be like a little kid in the candy store. Can't wait to see these new crankbaits. Since I finnaly got the new pole I won't feel like I just spent 10 hours at golds gym after chucking those things. Alright I'll see ya up there. Btw think im gunna head out to the lake for a bit on saturday since I have giving up on winterizing my boat.

I had a chance to get my hands on one of the new Krisco crankbaits the other day. Can't wait to see these in the water! These things looks to be built like tanks and I'm sure are going to be one of the hot new baits in '09. Another winner by Llungen/Musky Armor!

The Krisco is our new crankbait that we are coming out with this show season. Scott Donovan and I got to fish this bait on Kinkaid this fall and the action was great. It is a shallow running jointed crankbait that is 9.5 inches long.

We are introducing them at the shows this winter, and then they will be available at Rollie and Helens, Thorne Bros, Musky Tackle Online, and Smokies after the shows are over.
