    Default Ice conditions

The ice condition by the resort and on the lake is pretty good. We have about 6 inches. Still use caution I still know of one guy who went through. For the fishing the bluegill are biting good and the northern pike bite is really good on lake Poygan. I will get some better information in the next day or 2 about where the bite is and exactly how much ice we have. If you are walking the bay are safe.

I will repost in a couple of day.

Was out off of Captains Cove on Poygan Saturday and managed 3 Pike in 3.5 hours (25,30,32) and also had 1 other fish take a few feet of line and drop it. Activity has really slowed down from early ice when it seemed there was always someone running. Fish bit well from 9:30-11:00, and then they shut off like a switch. Stayed until 1:00 without another flag! Ice was solid and anywhere from 7-10 inches in the holes that I drilled. Lots of traffic on the ice, but no trucks yet. I would bet by this weekend though that we may see a few. Has anyone else been out targeting Walleyes yet?
